As a HR Generalist for high-priority initiatives, you'll engage with diverse business partners to develop policies and procedures that enhance workplace efficiency and effectiveness. Your expertise will help identify trends in new federal, state, and local legislation and regulations impacting Human Resources; liaising with the Legal team to ensure documentation of possible impacts to the company. Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $100,000
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $105,000 | Year 3 - $112,500
Work Location: Naperville, IL
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Researches and identifies policy and procedural additions and revisions, presenting solution-oriented proposals, including implementation plans to leadership and various business partners.
• Oversees and leads communicative collaboration with various business partners to develop and deliver the necessary resources to effectively communicate policy and procedural updates to employees.
• Recognizes training and development opportunities within the team and collaborates with direct leader to create and maintain individualized development plans.
• Informs direct leader of status and results of assigned tasks, proactively identifying project concerns and proposing solutions.
• Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
• Informs management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.
• Acts as a project manager on high priority projects and initiatives by focusing on the big picture, identifying dependencies and understanding how outcomes affect other areas of the business, providing ongoing assistance and mentorship to employees.
• Establishes priorities among tasks, deliverables, resources and schedule based on management requirements for assigned project, communicating to project support team members.
• Oversees and leads development and implementation of new or revised policies and procedures including preparation and maintenance of the Employee Handbook.
• Evaluates reporting needs for assigned projects, collaborating with necessary working groups, in order to provide creative and quantitative data to determine ROI for leadership and various business partners.
• Leads identification and development of appropriate project documentation, effectively communicating the status and potential organization impact that may result out of the project’s completion.
• Remains current and leads compliance with new federal, state, and local legislation and regulations impacting Human Resources; identifying developing trends within the industry; liaising with the Legal team to ensure documentation of possible impacts to the company.
• Assists direct leader with all project management related responsibilities and manages projects of a larger scope.
• Understands the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization to create a proper professional workforce.
• Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office, remote office, or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Travel:
• Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
